Customized Weddings to Reflect Your Personalities
I specialize in personalized weddings that highlight your Love story. Since 2008, I have been officiating ceremonies that you can feel. As the official beginning of your married life together, I believe that a thoughtful and symbolic ceremony can create a solid foundation for your future. Planning a wedding can be hectic, so I do my best to make the most efficient use of your time while we create your ceremony together.
I live near Boston, so venues from the Berkshires to the Cape are all possible.
As an experienced outdoorsperson I can perform your wedding in a remote location should you desire – a mountaintop, an island, or perhaps a waterfall tucked away in the woods are just a few examples.
Please contact me for a no obligation consultation. I would be honored to be your Celebrant!
Services & Fees
Services & Fees
While weddings and civil unions comprise the majority of my celebrant work, I also do other kinds of celebration ceremonies, such as Re-Commitment, Coming of Age, House Blessings, Celebrations of Life and other events you wish to mark with a special celebration. Just email or call.
Remote and Wilderness Ceremonies
One of my backgrounds includes outdoor education and I am excited about doing “out of the way” ceremonies. I am an accomplished backpacker, canoeist, and bicyclist. I'm also a rock and mountain climber, so wherever you may desire to hold a ceremony in a remote location, I can get there. Additionally, I can provide other logistical support in a wilderness environment. Met at a waterfall on the Appalachian Trail and want to get married there? No Problem!
Fees:
My fees are based on the individual ceremony. Factors such as general complexity, number of guests, and distance I must travel are some examples. The typical price range is $500-$1000.

No Obligation Consultation
Initially, by phone, I get a general sense of what the ceremony entails and we schedule a time to meet. At that meeting (either in person or online), we get to know one another a bit, and importantly, determine if my services are what you need and want. This is where I establish the cost based on the complexity of the ceremony. If we are all in agreement, a contract and deposit secure your date.
Composition of the Ceremony
Via email, I present my first draft of the ceremony for your review. I follow up by making your suggested changes and re-submit. This process cycles as many times as needed for you to be completely satisfied with the script, musical choices, choreography, etc. We can also meet via video conference or phone as needed.
Rehearsal
To help establish a clearer picture of what the ceremony will look like in reality, I will direct folks through the anticipated script, usually the day before the ceremony. Last-minute changes are made. The remainder of payment is due.
The Ceremony
I arrive in a timely manner and finalize details. I officiate the ceremony, including any legal aspects (license etc.)
Keepsake Printed Version
You are provided with the final printed copy of the ceremony on high-quality paper (which you may choose) on the day of the ceremony.
Safety Net
I will contact another celebrant that will do the ceremony in the unlikely event of sudden illness or other emergency. I will bring my own PA system if needed. I will have a copy of your musical selections if there are unforeseen issues. All my electronics have battery back-up.
